The Australian people have never voted on the radical net zero goal. Both the Coalition and Labor parties currently support net zero emissions by 2050.

It’s time we do something different.

Just in the first few years under net zero, Australia has lost its urea industry, plastics industry and nickel industry. Our steel and aluminium industries are limping along held up only by massive taxpayer handouts.

Thanks to net zero, Australia can no longer feed itself.

Under net zero, power prices are soaring and energy reliability is in freefall. Energy is the lifeblood of the economy. Australians are now facing higher costs everywhere they look.

Net zero is futile.

So many other countries have either never taken net zero seriously or are now backing away. China continues to build an average of two coal fired power stations a week. The British Conservatives have dumped the net zero target and the European Parliament is reconsidering its renewable energy plans following the massive Spanish blackouts. The United States has dumped the policy, and New Zealand is moving away from it.

Labor is selling out Australia.

Net zero is an anchor holding Australians back. Real wages have gone backwards under Albanese. People are hurting, and we cannot expect things to get better if we just do more of the same.

It’s time we just say no to net zero!
